Love

(trust me, as much as I love writing one word essays, I can't go on all day with Love, too many things to write it'll be a thesis)

How many crushes have you had? How many break-ups? Or how many times has your heart been broken when you hear a whisper of "No"?

What is love? that is the ultimate question, why is it when you google Love, different results show? It's because Love is many things, it's bliss, it's happiness, it's satisfaction, it's sorrow, it's blasphemy, it's a lie, it's the truth, it's a friend, it's a foe, it's heartless, it's caring and the list goes on...

Love, a foolish yet satisfying emo
tion none other than yourself can best describe it. Sure it's another pathetic flaw we have, but that is what we know that makes us human. Recently, I've been seeing my friends, or their acquaintances having problems in this department. Like Yen Yi's jerk-ass playboy boyfriend who broke up with her just because she was joking. or Teck Hui's friend (who I find quite attracting) who got dumped by her deluded boyfriend who can't think straight. Or Ritchie's crush who got together with another guy. Or me myself with last year's incident.

The question that's still burned into my mind is "Why do we STILL do it?" No matter how many break ups or rejections, we still WANT it. What makes it so addictive, being with your loved spouse? Why do we still want to love? Is it the famous "You'll get your lucky break" mentality? or is it because we need someone in your life?

And next there's doubt. Imagine this, you're a teen between the age of 16 and 17, and there she was, the person who is just "right" for you, you get to know the person and develop deep feelings within your heart. But in the end your efforts are for nothing as that person scared your innocent soul, marking remembrance forever. Then suddenly you meet another person and try again but one day you receive a message from your old crush / now best friend saying he or she has broke up. Ponder for a moment....what will you do? The one who's been through a lot with you, one who has an unshakable bond once made or the one who shares most of your common interest with "FRESH START" written all over him or her?

Sadly that was a decision too though isn't it?

Why does love hurt? That is another question I have. Why is it every time when you build something, it always crumbles and breaks you down leaving you alone and sad? Love, the more you build the worse it's going to feel after it all comes to an end , when the rest is silence. Still on the bright side, that's when we know we're still human, right?

Truly an enigma to the human mind, this emotion still sways from it's definition, "What is Love?" it's like asking the meaning of our existence, the answer always unbeknowst or changed from time to time. Alas, the right answer is always what you think it is, because what you think will come true.

Why did I write that? Well when there's something on my mind I'd best let it out then let it linger for too long, plus it's to show Teck Hui I have better English than he thinks, so there, HAH!
