Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

William Shakespeare once said to the world:
"There is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so."

Contrary to popular belief, and going by the quote, I say that it's not a matter of which side is winning, or which attentions are more noble than the other. I believe that there can only be one story, one truth that the world needs to know. I believe that everything begins from nothing. Sets of rules such as the amendments of America, The 10 Commandments, The Law and much more are just notions of logic. Life is like a video game, and a video game is a story told from the point of view of a chosen character. That character is known as the Protagonist, and what the protagonist disagrees with is called the Antagonist. And of course the goal of playing a video game is to get the protagonist to what he wants to achieve, often to defeat the antagonist. Protagonists and Antagonists, these two factors are above all, the most contradictory forces of the world. What you see in the world of politics are of course, just like another video game.

Barisan National wants to rule govern the land much longer for their own needs, their definition of good and what the Rakyat thinks as vile and cruel.

And what the Rakyat wants is nothing less then a political revolution for the future of the country, they stood up and gathered in the heart of the city to show that the vox populi lives on, the government thinks it's childish, overly ambitious, and barbaric.

But dear readers, do keep in mind that Malaysia is a democratic country. Democracy derived from the Greek words Demos (Peope) and Kratos (Power). It is a country by the people, for the people. The majority of agreements will constitute the government in its' place. Calling a civilian coalition with a small support from other political groups "illegal" is self-contradicting. The people want nothing less than a revolution in a democratic country, and the government denies it completely and calls it illegal. Bear in mind that this is a democratic country ladies and gentlemen, labeling the majority of people who have spoken illegal is labeling your government illegal. Great job.

The above pictures you have just scrolled through are forever etched into the history of Malaysia. These photos, taken by Al-Jazeera journalists who daringly jumped into the fray of 9/7 are embodiments of the truth. If you'd pay attention to how local papers and news define Bersih as and how inetrnational news channels define them you will be able to see a big difference. RTM1,2, TV3 amongst others say "This illegal assembly" when referring to Bersih. While International news channel say "This assembly". What national television failed to show is the amount of suffering the people went through on that fateful raining afternoon. They did not show how the police kicked a Bersih supporter in green tee sitting there while tear gas were fired, they did not show the spraying of chemical-laced water and tear gas assaults in the compounds of Tung Shin hospital which is in the opposite of my junior high school; SM Stella Maris and St. Anthony's church. They were not aware of the amount of foreigners that were staying at Grand Seasons Hotel nearby. The media did not broadcast the death of a Bersih supporter as he ran for dear life in the face of hounds we call the police. They did not show how a man had a stroke when police officers handcuff him, how officers stood there in the midst of chaos, watching the man suffer as civilians try to free him from the handcuffs the police failed to release. They failed to show the ignorance of the police of not bringing first aid or calling for help, they stood there as the man suffers from his stroke.

The local mainstream papers failed to put in pictures of the ensuing chaos, the blood, sweat and tears, they show clean roads with officers posing in front of the candid camera. And saying it was damned well peaceful. I did not see The Star journalists going into the fray as Al-Jazeera's did.

ladies and gentlemen I do not support the winning team, or the most convincing coalition, I support the truth, and if you hide the truth, I'll dig it up and show it. The police said that there was no tear gas or water cannons fired in the compounds of Tung Shin, the high ranking officer claimed he was there, I did not see a Punjabi police officer in blue turban in the videos or pictures, all I see is water and smoke, could it be a barbeque party by Bersih then, sir? Our great Prime Minister said that the police handled everything bravely and cautiously, no physical contact whatsoever to the protestors. All I see when I search the words "Bersih 2.0" in Youtube are protestors getting kicked, slapped in the face, sprayed by water cannons, punched, man-handled and trampled by the police. They say only a mere 5,000 showed up, but I beg you to scroll back up and do a head count. Watching the government denying what they did to their own people is laughable.

Looking at the bigger picture I see that Malaysia's multiracial community has shown the true Malaysian spirit, chanting the national anthem at Puduraya, pushing back the malicious water cannon trucks back so that it would not harm bystanders, I see them defending their country with my own two naked eyes, I did not see anarchy, at least not by the people. I see people, regardless of age, race, religion and beliefs standing up to what they think is right, I see the truth. The "10,0000 People wants Najib to resign" page was filled with double the original aim of likes in a matter of less than 48 hours after what civilians saw.

The PM also said that he congratulates those who did not show up to the rally since you are a silent majority. If only the main roads weren't block that could get me to Puduraya in 10 minutes, I would have given you all a more solid truth. I regret not coming down in the 9th of July, 2011. For that I admit that I am a failed Malaysian, but all I can do now is to write.

If this was the 1 Malaysia unity our PM sought for, I congratulate him on achieving it, for now I say that he will suffer the wrath of the vox populi. Well done.

Remember, Remember the Ninth of July.

Respect

It's been awhile since I updated this blog eh folks? Nothing much happening anyways. College has been a blast, I can give you that.

For once I LOVE doing assignments, since I can express myself through them.

For once I WANT to go to classes early.

For once I feel like I BELONGED in my class.

If you don't know, my college is situated in the heart of Sunway. Right beside the eternal gaze of the Sphinx which protects Sunway Pyramid lies a rather colorful building.
And yes, it looks a little something like that. I go to college in a series of shop lots, and I'm proud of it. I do not need a bonafide campus building beside a shimmering lake with banners tinseled all over the premises. For me, less is more. And let's keep it that way and don't go around comparing, okay folks?

College life is heaven for me. The library is my main hang out, the vast knowledge it holds is immensely alluring. The collection of artworks from a plethora of creative minds fuels my lust for knowledge. The student lounge has a mellow feel to it, I spend my time there. And the food, Elysium in your mouth.

The students? Friendly, amiable and respectable. Then comes the seniors. Oh you seniors. A funny bunch of people who instill fear into you. A bunch of people who will say that you have it easy compared to them. People who demand respect.

Respect is our keyword today, friends.

Respect. A phrase which instills discipline an appreciation at the same time. An abstract loyalty that one should never demand. Apparently the seniors of TOA believe that since their workload is a tad more, since they have 8 months tops of advantageous knowledge, they can ask for the respect they "deserve". You can never earn respect by demanding respect. Anotehr failure in the Malaysian mindset is that one will never acknowledge that there is someone out there who is better than you, who will beat you. Sure you're got at what you do, but ponder for a moment, oh resentful senior who by chance would read this: Are you the best? I concur not. Talking smack about you and your petty talent will not instill respect to anyone, especially to me. I respect an individual if he/she deserves it, just like that. If it was a joke then let me tell you that it is not, at all, laughable. I will resort to whatever it takes to beat you, clear as day.

Respect n. 1 ESTEEM, regard, high opinion, admiration, veneration, reverence, deference, honour. ASPECT, facet, feature, each as an individual.

That is how Oxford defines the word.

Of gains and loss

So, I'm officially back from Bentong, Pahang from the short Leadership Camp. The camp was pretty much decent, it had good food and interesting activities, apart from where I thought I had to climb the steep path to the place but actually we were supposed to wait for another lorry to take us up since the one we were riding in broke down. I couldn't breathe for approx. 30 minutes, that's not natural, usually I'll recover in 5 minutes whenever that happens.

With 78 students....taking a bath wasn't easy since toilets were always full, also since My dorm is WAYS from the toilet or the hall, I was just too lazy to keep going back and forth. But There was a lot of firsts, I had my first obstacle course, I had my first Flying Fox, had my first crossing of a suspension bridge. But sadly, since my physical health didn't allow me so, I skipped the Jungle Trekking.

My group The White Eagles won the best group in the camp. I also as part of a sketch that placed 4th that night, as a result, I've lost my voice since I was practicing my falsettos.

That's pretty much is the Leadership Camp in a nutshell.

MOVING ON.

Great...I lost my phone, now I have to re-save all of my contacts, it was loss on the bus ride home today.

One more thing...yeah, I'll admit it, I AM missing someone, I think I'm beginning to get a little more infatuated towards her...what should I do...she doesn't want a relationship yet I'm beginning to get VERY interested in her....should I wait? Or should I take Ritchie's advice and stay as JUST friends with her... one thing's for sure though, she's the only exception.

P.S. Without Music, Life Is Meaningless.

Leadership Camp

Okay so tomorrow I'm off to Leadership Camp and won't be home till Sunday. Trust me, I didn't want to go, but a certain teacher forced me to. It's just a 2 days 1 night trip, so whatever. Well, guess I'll see you back on Sunday. And damn, I can't believe the company that SUPPOSED to handle the printing of the Prefect T-shirts screwed up the color scheme, AND logo size, also they screwed the material.... it just MADE my day.

Also, I changed my blog header picture. It's SUPPOSE to mean that there's always a myriad of thoughts in my head, and I feel like killing myself sometimes.

Anyways, ciao, amici.

P.S. When you meet that perfect someone, there's always a catch.

Religion.

If you are a narrow-minded religious person, please, do close this browser now. Yes, you too Jane since you don't like my rants.
______________________________________________________________________

Religion, faith, God. I know all of these terms too damn well. personally I'd like to say, "Religion is for the broken, damned, and those who have given up." Personally, I have NOTHING against religion, in fact I think it's a great way to exercise your spiritual state of mind. But The world has made religion into a tool. Why? Read on and you will find out.

This is MY story:

2005, my family was on the brink of bankruptcy, my dad was slandered and prosecuted for stealing money which he didn't, he was pressed with legal charges, payed a total of RM18.000 to his "friend" which was an attorney who loves his money. Me and my mom were chased after loan sharks because one of my dad's old's employers went bankrupt but asked my dad to pay his debts.

My dad's car was taken away. My dad was jobless due to his overconfidence in the petroleum business and quit his old job. My family was forced to stay in First Business Inn in Jalan Ipoh. The odds were against us. But a friendly cyber cafe owner lead us to Menara Megah further down the stretch of Jalan Ipoh, in the 2 1/2 mile mark of it. We got a unit on the 11th floor, which I have stayed in since 2005 till present.

My dad applied as a sales promoter in Mediaplex, to pay off our rent and debts. Things were still bad, my dad's employer stopped paying his salary.... 4 months worth of it. I had to either walk or take the bus to the school or malls. I couldn't watch movies, buy video games or hang out with friends due to money problems. We had to either capitalize on my dad's remains of his salary to buy groceries, or just eat at the Mamak Stall on the floor below.

This kept on going till 2009. My dad was employed to a company that sold a formula that would strengthen one's calcium, thus eliminating some of the terminal illness. My dad's pay went from RM 2000 to RM 6000. We had a life slightly better than before, but after a few months, the arrogant share holder of the company fired him, saying he wasn't capable of working. Again we were on the brink of bankruptcy, this went on until just recently.

Where an Australian company; VitaLife hired him to be the financial manager for the Malaysian branch office, he quickly shot his position up to Vice President of VitaLife Malaysia, his salary is currently RM 8000. Now, throughout the course of the incident, my mother whom I loathe kept praying day after day. Before this when our financial state was decent, she didn't really devote herself.

And now of course, after she has what she wants, she finally gives herself up and become my father's personal slave since he can put food on the table and stopped going to church, and her prayers have gotten much shorter. I once had asked her "Do you only devote yourself to religion during troubled times." She kept quiet. Usually when I won a debate against my mom's foolishness, she would keep quiet, so I was right all along, religion is for the weak.

While I was trying to save up money so my parents wouldn't have to spend money on me ( I had almost RM700 but my mom found out and used it to pay our drinking water bill) she gave up and prayed to her God. I do not give up easily, never had, never will. But lo and behold, a fragile soul giving herself up to "God" when she needs something, there ARE more people like this. Does the world only turn to their God when they need something and forget Him after it?

People call this a "Calling from God" but I beg to differ, I call it "giving up on Life". I went through 3 years of humiliation in my Junior High days, but now, I'm a prefect who my friends can look up to. I didn't need religion for that. A true calling from God is when you realize that faith is the key for keeping a steady heart and realizing that God is not just an entity that helps you through troubled times... as far as I know.

I am what you can refer to as an Open-Minded Catholic, I do not truly devote myself to religion, but I will accept other views of faith and the more logical side of the world, yet I still believe in Heaven and Hell. I also love studying the legends of other religions be it Islam, Hindu or Buddhist. If you were to pray for something to your God and when he grants it, you boast more about your religion, it'll just make you look fatuous, claiming you LOVE your God. But in reality, you love the blessings He gives but not God himself. If this is the way then, I'd say that God prefers Atheists since they can solve their problems without his help. It's funny how when I say "I don't really believe in God" and a random Catholic/Christian would say "Oh no! How can you say that?! You are a sinful child!"

Being overly-religious also makes you a bane of your own existence. Dear readers if you were to believe in one side of the story, what about the rest? At this point, you would always be attached to your own fantasy world and will lose your grip on reality. Giving yourself up to religion is not the way. I'm not trying to turn your back from your belief it's just that you need a reality check, and see the world around you.

Broaden your views, it'll make your life a little more interesting. Here's a fun fact, did you know Shiva's son, Ganesha was made of the soap bubbles? Parvati scooped some up and molded it into a person to guard her as she bathes, But Ganesha did not let Shiva in, not knowing who he was. Enraged, Shiva beheaded Ganesha. Parvati told him that Ganesha was their son. So Shiva commanded his followers to bring animals to his kingdom, the first one to come in would replace Ganesha's head. The Elephant came in, therefore, he cut the elephant's head and put it onto Ganesha's neck. Thus, the visualization of Ganesha was a man with an elephant's head.

If you find this post offensive, please do tell me. This is just my side of the story.

Out of the frying pan and into the freezer.

Well, it's been nearly a week since my return from Indonesia. I didn't have time to blog because of my laziness, due to the amount of things I have to blog about.

Here goes. See the reason I didn't wanna go to Indonesia was because of where I live there, the food's bad, the girls are...mehh and there's only 3 friggin' malls, in 3 years....they only built 2 more....wow. Also my stay at the little town outside of Jakarta known as Depok isn't FUN, it's like a baby-sitting job that doesn't pay at since I have to take care of my 3 year-old twin nephews.

But, on a different note, the heart of the country, Jakarta is a different story, though the pollution is nothing less than displeasing, progress on the city has bettered itself, roads don't get stuck in traffic jams much, and the malls there have improved, so has the social well being of the citizens. Every single block you to, every single street has a mall, that's something rather new to me since Malaysia has less.

Not only that, the entertainment industry has greatly improved, Indonesian artists make much better local tunes than Malaysia has ever did, they create something original, not used. For instance, my latest band fetish Vierra, they make great songs, powerful music and lyrics. Or local movies are shot at a decent camera quality, I immediately fell in love with a movie called Laskar Pelangi which tells of the struggle of a group of elementary school kids, the plot is diverse and complete.

Speaking about love, I think I just fell for my cousin's bestie, unfortunately, she lives in Jakarta and the only way I can talk to her is via Facebook, but no matter, someone told me to be patient and so I will. When will I ever be able to meet you? *sigh*

Also on the other note, my extortion of cash from my aunts is a success, I finally got myself a Nintendo DS Lite. For those of you who know my hate for Nintendo would be shooting me right now for being a hypocrite, but some NDS games are too good to resist, so I had to get one.

Then there's the cinemas of Indonesia....walking to each one of them is like walking into a 5-star hotel, since it's plain "wow" they have arcades, comfortable seats, good food and great movies shown at a reasonable price of approximately 25,000Rp - 30,000Rp, which is about 8 ringgit to 10 ringgit.

My cousins are also the people I love and I will miss them for the next 11 months, since chances are I'll be going again in 2010, anyone who wants to come with me are always welcome. And no, Indonesia isn't just bout Bali, there are other great places to see, 37 states in all, and a large metropolis of a city to hang around with.

Well, as 2010 is just hours away, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, may you successfully achive your new year's resolution. Ciao.
