Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

William Shakespeare once said to the world:
"There is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so."

Contrary to popular belief, and going by the quote, I say that it's not a matter of which side is winning, or which attentions are more noble than the other. I believe that there can only be one story, one truth that the world needs to know. I believe that everything begins from nothing. Sets of rules such as the amendments of America, The 10 Commandments, The Law and much more are just notions of logic. Life is like a video game, and a video game is a story told from the point of view of a chosen character. That character is known as the Protagonist, and what the protagonist disagrees with is called the Antagonist. And of course the goal of playing a video game is to get the protagonist to what he wants to achieve, often to defeat the antagonist. Protagonists and Antagonists, these two factors are above all, the most contradictory forces of the world. What you see in the world of politics are of course, just like another video game.

Barisan National wants to rule govern the land much longer for their own needs, their definition of good and what the Rakyat thinks as vile and cruel.

And what the Rakyat wants is nothing less then a political revolution for the future of the country, they stood up and gathered in the heart of the city to show that the vox populi lives on, the government thinks it's childish, overly ambitious, and barbaric.

But dear readers, do keep in mind that Malaysia is a democratic country. Democracy derived from the Greek words Demos (Peope) and Kratos (Power). It is a country by the people, for the people. The majority of agreements will constitute the government in its' place. Calling a civilian coalition with a small support from other political groups "illegal" is self-contradicting. The people want nothing less than a revolution in a democratic country, and the government denies it completely and calls it illegal. Bear in mind that this is a democratic country ladies and gentlemen, labeling the majority of people who have spoken illegal is labeling your government illegal. Great job.

The above pictures you have just scrolled through are forever etched into the history of Malaysia. These photos, taken by Al-Jazeera journalists who daringly jumped into the fray of 9/7 are embodiments of the truth. If you'd pay attention to how local papers and news define Bersih as and how inetrnational news channels define them you will be able to see a big difference. RTM1,2, TV3 amongst others say "This illegal assembly" when referring to Bersih. While International news channel say "This assembly". What national television failed to show is the amount of suffering the people went through on that fateful raining afternoon. They did not show how the police kicked a Bersih supporter in green tee sitting there while tear gas were fired, they did not show the spraying of chemical-laced water and tear gas assaults in the compounds of Tung Shin hospital which is in the opposite of my junior high school; SM Stella Maris and St. Anthony's church. They were not aware of the amount of foreigners that were staying at Grand Seasons Hotel nearby. The media did not broadcast the death of a Bersih supporter as he ran for dear life in the face of hounds we call the police. They did not show how a man had a stroke when police officers handcuff him, how officers stood there in the midst of chaos, watching the man suffer as civilians try to free him from the handcuffs the police failed to release. They failed to show the ignorance of the police of not bringing first aid or calling for help, they stood there as the man suffers from his stroke.

The local mainstream papers failed to put in pictures of the ensuing chaos, the blood, sweat and tears, they show clean roads with officers posing in front of the candid camera. And saying it was damned well peaceful. I did not see The Star journalists going into the fray as Al-Jazeera's did.

ladies and gentlemen I do not support the winning team, or the most convincing coalition, I support the truth, and if you hide the truth, I'll dig it up and show it. The police said that there was no tear gas or water cannons fired in the compounds of Tung Shin, the high ranking officer claimed he was there, I did not see a Punjabi police officer in blue turban in the videos or pictures, all I see is water and smoke, could it be a barbeque party by Bersih then, sir? Our great Prime Minister said that the police handled everything bravely and cautiously, no physical contact whatsoever to the protestors. All I see when I search the words "Bersih 2.0" in Youtube are protestors getting kicked, slapped in the face, sprayed by water cannons, punched, man-handled and trampled by the police. They say only a mere 5,000 showed up, but I beg you to scroll back up and do a head count. Watching the government denying what they did to their own people is laughable.

Looking at the bigger picture I see that Malaysia's multiracial community has shown the true Malaysian spirit, chanting the national anthem at Puduraya, pushing back the malicious water cannon trucks back so that it would not harm bystanders, I see them defending their country with my own two naked eyes, I did not see anarchy, at least not by the people. I see people, regardless of age, race, religion and beliefs standing up to what they think is right, I see the truth. The "10,0000 People wants Najib to resign" page was filled with double the original aim of likes in a matter of less than 48 hours after what civilians saw.

The PM also said that he congratulates those who did not show up to the rally since you are a silent majority. If only the main roads weren't block that could get me to Puduraya in 10 minutes, I would have given you all a more solid truth. I regret not coming down in the 9th of July, 2011. For that I admit that I am a failed Malaysian, but all I can do now is to write.

If this was the 1 Malaysia unity our PM sought for, I congratulate him on achieving it, for now I say that he will suffer the wrath of the vox populi. Well done.

Remember, Remember the Ninth of July.

The Impending Future

Hello my fellow readers, again I whipped out another Vlog. This time with a better camera. Thus affecting the image and video quality for the better. I apologize for the late post. This was originally supposed to be posted on the 25th of March but my Internet bandwidth ran out so I had to postpone it. But without further a do, here's my 2 cents on careers and The Malaysian Mentality.

Unity

Unity. Racial Integration. Familiar words that ring in my ear this year. The government spending on the oversized billboards, posters and advertisements of the 1 Malaysia catchphrase our "brilliant" Prime Minister has brainstormed.

I've always been blatant on the subject of politics and racial matters. And since I've heard of the whole 1 Malaysia deal, all I could mutter was "It's not going to work." Some tried to prove me wrong, some shrugged me off, some agreed with me. It is now, my dear readers, September 23 of the year 2010. What has 1 Malaysia truly achieved? Has this...."resolution" no wait, that is not the valid word. Excuse me, let me rephrase, this failure of a facade to hide the fires of racial capitalism achieved? Ask yourself that.

I have the most appropriate answer. Apart from the flashy parades and an extra holiday all I can say that it has achieved nothing so far in this country of corrupted politics, nothing. In my humble opinion, 1 Malaysia's slogan "Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan" should be changed to "Melayu Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diabaikan" Because that is all that 1 Malaysia has done. The country playing its' cards like a broken record, Malays get more perks from the government, leaving the other races behind and of course causing more and more arguments, as always.

But dissing 1 Malaysia isn't the main purpose of my being here blogging on this fine night. It is the phrase Divide and Conquer. The British used this method to divide the races and take over Pre-Independent Malaysia back in the Sepia-colored days. And how have they succeed, until our Father of Independence; Tunku Abdul Rahman changed that and made Malaysia a free-country. But today it was a feeling of Deja-Vu, oh yes, there was undoubtedly a allusion of Divide and Conquer in my very own school.

Long story short, since today there were trial exams for the students who are taking Tasawur Islam, Chinese Language and Tamil Language, the remaining students were subjected to "Motivational and Disciplinary" lectures from various lecturers. Sound ordinary? Think again. "May all the Chinese students please proceed to the Hall and the Indian students proceed to the library." As soon as I heard these words, the first that that comes into mind is Divide and Conquer, due to the fact that it was a Malay teacher who said that. How ironic, a miniature version of the old British game plan, mimicked by the people that they revolutionized.

Of course the Chinese students were indulged in Chinese lectures and the Indian students were filled in with Tamil lectures. I was against this whole idea of using mother tongues for lectures. When asked for feedback, all I did was state the fact that the lectures have failed at the aspect fo racial integration. And the reply I've received was "It's good to once in awhile have lectures in mother tongues for the students to feel comfortable amongst their own race. Because we did our subject workshops with everyone already." How good is it to have students curling up in the safety zone of their own race? Are we MalayChinDiaSia? or are we Malaysia? And finally, workshops for subjects are compulsory for all students to attend and it is not a motivational lecture. All I see is a De-motivational lecture today, again to feel safe in one's own race, apart from the content of the lecture itself (Which I found dull, due to the fact that it has been things that I've been counseling my friends about and I have thought myself about). But of course we all know the hidden agenda for these kinds of lectures; Getting Straight As To Ensure A Bright Future, To Honor Your Family, the Asian mindset, if you will.

We were once proud of our multi-racial community, now, it is the shell of it's former self, nothing more. That is what I've learned recently from reading my Mentor; Derek Kok's blog. Especially of the failure in our multi-racial community. Dear readers we are going nowhere if we do not abolish safety barriers between the races so that we can understand each other better. Do we need an event such as the Al-Quran burnings in the USA? Or the repetition of the lawsuit battle between the Muslims and the Catholic church?

I suppose I should quote from a Jedi Master.

"Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."

The Game Of Life

Before I start I'd like to thank Nathalie for the idea of this post, she thought that since I do game reviews I should do one about something else (no spoilers!) So I hope you guys enjoy this one.
P.S. This is going to be a long post.

_______________________________________

For this review I will judge the game on a few different aspects, which are; Story, Gameplay, Characters, Sound and Music, Graphics, and of course the final score for this game.

The name of the game is LIFE. Yes, just 1 word, LIFE. The developers and publishers of this game are unknown as of now. But rumors in the Vatican says that it was by someone named God, and the scientist from various countries claim that it was by Evolution. Either way, let's get on with the review.

LIFE's released date is also unknown, but the synopsis is that you will play as a person who starts off in your mother's womb and from there you will gain control of your character. Basically the goal of the game is to experience life, there is also Online play available, or you can even just stick to the single player mode. Either way, it's your choice. Also LIFE cannot be purchased at any game store, you need to wait for it to be delivered to you to start playing, unfortunately.

Story: The game takes place on our current time line on Planet Earth, each unit of life varies, mine started in 1993. But either way you will start the game inside your mother's womb then after 9 months of loading time, you will finally take control of your character. The game is pretty similar to Fallout 3, where you have to pick choices to shape your own story. After the baby stages, you will advance to childhood stage which is basically playing around all day without a worry, then the youngster period where you begin to go to school, adolescence stage where you continue up to high school, young adult stage where you go to college and adult stage where you get your first official job and then you will see the epilogue in the eyes of the elderly period. Each of these stages will have countless choices to choose from and they will shape the next stage of the story. However, the backdraw of the game is that you can't repeat the choices, the game offers no saving option whatsoever. So pick carefully. But in conclusion I would like to say that the story is full of depth and very down to earth. It totally has everything in it as far as I know (Since I'm still at the Adolescence Stage) It has almost everything, from drama, action, romance, thriller, horror... you name it, LIFE has it! LIFE's story is also so overwhelming that you'll feel attach to it.

Story: 9.5/10

Gameplay: Basically, LIFE is an Action/Adventure Game with a First Person point of view. IT also has Role-Playing Game elements. When you start of you can only crawl, once you've gained enough crawling level you will be able to walk, then run. You will also be able to handle multiple objects like computers, cellphones, even weapons like knives or guns once you've gained enough experience levels and wisdom levels. But the potency of handling these objects are affected by your judgement level. Let's say at one point in your life you are short of money, and you decide to rob a bank, if your judgement level is not high enough, your karmatic level will force you to rob a bank. Or maybe when someone enrages you and your character says he/she wants to slap the offender, if your judgement is not good, he/or she will slap that person with the consequence of losing a social link, or even worse; making enemies.

LIFE takes place on Earth as I earlier stated, you have access to a open-ended world, you can go anywhere you like in later parts of the game, provided if you have enough mo
ney. Though for the earlier part you will be forced to go to school to gain more levels in various areas like sports, arts, academics and much more. This will ultimately decide which college or university will go to, hence it will affect your future career choices. Again choice plays an important part in school, you have the choice to doze of during class, do other things or even skip school entirely and going somewhere else to raise your satisfaction bar.

The satisfaction bar fills when you do the things that you find enjoyable, be it from watching a movie to partying in a club, these activities will increase your satisfaction bar, but raising the bar will of course; consume your money, that is why it is important to obtain a job when you reach the adult stage to ensure the financial stability of your character.

Again
I stress, you cannot save your game hence you cannot replay the area you've got a Game Over in and it's a single cycle game. If you cannot cope with your Health meter, you will pass away and ultimately ending the game, rendering it unplayable again. So you have to take care of yourself, the risks are always high. Most players die young on the streets, others are kidnapped by other players during online play in the city and then die, some even don't receive their copy of LIFE and they will be registered as dead.

You will also have access to social links, social links, AKA Friends and Family will also affect your character development by tipping your Karmatic meter. Bad influences will turn your character into a villain while good influences will keep your character in his/her hero mode. You will gain access to different social links throughout the game, most noticeably is the Parents social links that you obtain at the very start of the game. This will ultimately tilt your Karmatic meter towards one end, it depends on what kind of parents you get though. But no matter you can work your way to your desired end of the Karmatic meter. Be helping people or taking their life, you hold the choices in your hands.

You will also have a choice to dive yourself into a religion of your choice, in LIFE, you can pick any religion you want, or maybe you prefer to be an atheist? But to sum it all up, if you pick a religion, it will slightly tilt your Karmatic meter to a positive note and it will increase the level of your character's faith which will boost your character's judgement level.

Take note, when you do kill another person playing LIFE, it will not only tilt your Karmatic meter towards the villain side, but also will place you under police surveillance, and that person whom you have just murdered will get a Game Over ending his/her LIFE.

Marriage will also become once you have enough cash and when you have a spouse that you can engage to. Marriage will result in your character marrying another character whom you will live together for the rest of the game. And when you manage to have a family, LIFE copies will be sent out to other people to grant you a baby, thus making you that person's Parent social link.

The length of gameplay varies on how you play the game, some end the game at a young age due to death, some will ultimately finish the game and die of old age. The average game time you'll get is 50 years. Some are lucky enough to keep playing the game for over 100 years. I've also hea
rd rumors that whatever you do in LIFE will affect the sequel that's coming to you called AFTERLIFE. So, with such variety, what more can you ask for with open opportunities of LIFE?

Gameplay: 10/10

Characters: As far as character goes, you build up your own persona during the course of the game and the characters/social links you meet vary depending on which unit of LIFE you get. But here are a few screenshots of the characters that I've met so far into this game:

People who can change the way you think about LIFE:

People who can teach you a thing or two when you play LIFE:

People that help you when you're losing the game:

Or people that makes LIFE seem a little more interesting when you meet them:

With that all I can say is you will meet a variety of people from all walks of life.

Characters: 10/10

Sound and Music: In LIFE, you can customize your own music, which is one of the best features of the game. The playlist available for your music can be changed depending on your mood and as you progress the game, more songs will become available. Currently my Playlist consist of works from Paramore, Jason Mraz and one of the most renowned contemporary composers; SHoji Meguro of his Shin Megami Tensei fame. The overral SFX of the game is superb since LIFE uses a technology ahead of our time to encode the audio.

Sound and Music: 10/10

Graphics: LIFE's graphics are undoubtedly gorgeous. The resolution of LIFE goes beyond your 1080p HD boundaries. The graphics are very realistic. You can see the details of a person's every hair strand even to the finest of wrinkles. Even the environment is beautifully projected with such detail that it can only be the work of one with divine skill.

Graphics: 10/10

I would like to say that LIFE gains a 10/10 from me. It is, by far one of the most exhilarating experiences I've ever had in my life. (no pun intended) For those of you who are reading this, lucky you, you've got your copy of LIFE!

Final Verdict: 10/10 Overall Score

And......done, I hope you guys enjoyed this and for those of you who's photos I've taken from your Facebook pages ever so secretly, I'm deeply sorry.

Also, credits for the epic sunset picture goes to Johnathan and his superb photography skill. And the game cover was a photoshop edit done by me.

ALright then, that's it from me for now. Remember, live that life of yours to the fullest.

I'm back.

Ah, the familiar "New Post" page with a piano tune to accompany me as I write, how good to see you again, and hello, once again, my readers. It's been a long time, since I updated, huh? It's a pleasure for me to continue my life's chronicles in the form of these digitized alphabets. To be honest, that's not the main point, the main point being that...I have nothing to do and I can't sleep for some enigmatic reason, well to be honest it's because I'm feeling lonely and there's no one to talk to at this hour. I'm gonna skip all my usual wordplay and just type like my normal self for this one, hope you guys don't mind.

My life so far has been fun of ups and downs, and time sure flies, right? 2 more months till I face the music of SPM. Back to the subject at hand, yeah, I've been having an inconsistent life. Let's just summarize it from the top. I broke up with my first ever girlfriend because she didn't really appreciate me, from there, I lived more freely, free from her clutches. Then Ritchie introduced me to a girl which of course as usual, failed. Then I tried to become more well-acquainted with another girl, which yes, you've guessed it, failed. Then from my sorrowful clouds came a silver lining, someone very dear to me, finally accepted my offer to be in a relationship with her, after a month, she broke up with me and of course left me in shattered pieces.

From there, friends came to my aid, Ritchie, Nathalie, Nizam, Teck Hui all came to comfort me in their own, special unique way. I owe them the greatest of debts, thank you guys, I really appreciate that. It took almost 2 months to fully recover, and in the midst of my lamenting I was pushed to the edge with Public Speaking practice which I had to go to. Then, after reuniting with an old friend, Trester, meeting a few new ones and befriended the St. Marians, I slowly got back on my feet, because of all of you, I've become a more improved individual and cleaned up my act and also forget about my past anguish. It is safe to say that all of you are the best friends I could ever have. Thank you, Trester, Amirul, Anis, Adlinur, Josey and of course Su Ann. The Pesta Ria the St. Marians held was definitely the icing on top. And yes, Su Ann, I still love that Rojak.

The names mentioned above didn't just help me, each of them taught me something, Trester taught me that I should be patient, and have a little faith in both people and God. Amirul taught me that if you love someone, stay true to that feeling, patience is the key to a woman's heart. Anis taught me that love will find it's way no matter what, and she made my fandom towards Paramore THAT much more serious. Adlinur made me realize that guys like me are extinct (In a good way) and that girls aren't all that superficial. Josey AKA Jocelyn taught me the ways of taking it easy through the music of Jason Mraz, and she was responsible for me to meet the next person. Su Ann taught me the greatest of all lessons, that we can not give up, no matter what and that we should always perform our best at anything, she also got me into reading the wonderful works written by Cecelia Ahern and reignited my passion for a certain yellow sponge living under the sea. Thank you again to all of you, I love each and everyone of you to bits!

And of course there was my fun time with Amin and Ronald at the robotics competition, even though we lost, we still had fun, especially chanting Chong Hwa's name for beating the arrogant St. John's robotics squad. CHONG HWA! CHONG HWA!

Oh, also, today I went Ice Skating again with Yen Yi with her boyfriend and 2 others, really had a fun time with you guys, especially causing havoc in MPH. And Casualtiy report: My limbs...HURT. A fraction of the skin on my left foot tore itself apart. But thank goodness I was improving and didn't lose my skill.

Speaking of skill, my dearest Piano teacher let me advance to grade 2! Finally, no more cartoon doodles in my books, and I'm that much closer to perfection! Gotta give it my all, right, Su Ann?

By the way, my sweet CPU just got an UPGRADE a month back, thanks to Ritchie for laying the final blow on my Graphics Card, now I have a much more better PC! So now I can finally play all those PC games that I always wanted to play.

Hmm...it's 3:14, I guess I better stop here.

Adios amigos~

Logic V.S. Creativity

It has been the popular assumptions of school these days to think that the science students are always superior to art students. Especially in this modern world where diplomas and degrees are prerequisites for careers. And SMK Maxwell has escaped this trend of stereotyping not. But is this assumption truly the ideal mindset for students these days? Ask yourself that.

I have shrugged off this subject for quite sometime and I feel that I should have my say on this. For the curious minds out there, it is the events these past few days that has drove me to post this. Last week it was the mentor-mentee program. But today was very different, it was the day I would officially receive my medal for robotics in front of assembly. (We won 3rd place last week and it was satisfying indeed as we are going to represent Sentul in the KL levels on the 10th of August.) After I entered class, my art teacher asked me "How did you get in?" and I was of course, confused and implored him to clarify his question. He rephrased and said "How did you get into the robotics team?" "Well I was chosen of course." I said confidently. My teacher lowered his voice and told me "Well, another teacher begs to differ, he was asking me why an art student was able to enter the competition." From that moment onwards, I was officially offended.

That lead to a deep conversation that involved me, Amin and my teacher. And here's what's important. This Science V.S. Art culture has been running for quite the time it seems. It seems that the school's hopes on competitions such as robotics, physics competitions (e.g. Rocket-building) are always on the science students. And when no one is willing to go, no representatives are sent. Yet, lo and behold, last year's entry for the rocket-building competition was designed by my own art teacher, and the team won 3rd. If that isn't proof enough that art students are overshadowed, look at our own robotics competition. I was the one giving ideas. Ron; our captain wanted 2 motors to run wheels to climb on poles and 1 to grab on the pole. The question is, how do we make it move back and forth? So, do science students seem all that bright to you? Not until the moment where I cracked the idea of rebuilding the robot from the ground up that we actually started progress.

Of course, I'm not implying that science students are stealing the spotlight. It's just that we art students are treated like useless garbage nowadays. Yet none of these people remember the joy of procrastination we art students choose as a lifestyle. Just because we cannot stand deadlines, doesn't mean we don't get work down. The adrenaline rushing as I rushed my art folio last week was pure bliss. Me, Nizam and a few more were dancing and singing to Billie Jean playing on the radio while coloring at the same time. Finishing projects has never been this good. And yet, we finished it by an extended deadline by 1 day.

Again let's take a look at successful individuals through the times. Bill Gates did not graduate beyond high school, yet without his idea of making the now world-renowned computer software we all know as Microsoft Windows, could I even write on this blog? Then again, would blogs even exist? The late Dato' Lim Goh Tong wasn't an academically exceptional individual. He stopped studying after he graduated primary school, yet, without his creative spark to build a business empire, could we be able to relieve stress every now and then at the famed Genting Highlands? This leads to the fact that when I ask "What career do you want to thrust yourself into when you're done with school?" to my science stream friends, most say "I dunno." or "I'm not sure." So, what's the point of packing knowledge like that if you're not going to use it? 9As mean nothing and you'll just be wasting your final year as a high school student chasing a fleeting dream that's non-existent. "It's important to get 9As." one friend said to me and I asked him "Would you prefer to apply a position as a encyclopedia?" In my humble opinion, even though we have the doors of choices unlocked, what's the use when we don't have a volition, an agenda for our future? It's better to concentrate on what you want to achieve in life rather than being a jack of all trades, master of none.

Knowledge is indeed power, but if it is not utilized, the individual is no different than a plant. If you find this post offensive, I offer you my sincerest and deepest apologies. The rest is silence, my dear readers.

The Master And Student

I was fairly disappointed, disappointed at the fact that SMK Maxwell prioritizes Science students and just abandon us art students. As if a bad line-up of this year's art faculty was bad enough... today was the lauch of Mentor-Mentee program for the form 5s. Now usually when one would arrange a program of such caliber, we would have a mentor guiding mentees of different abilities. Ours was SUPPOSED to be Strong students, followed by mild students, and weak students in a group. Of course depending on their academic levels, the mentor must adapt to the students, therefore, skilled teachers should counsel weaker students, not the ones that are already academically better, namely; most of the science students.

It was just offending that we; the art students are overshadowed by these so-called "exceptional" individuals... the school's "hope". Honestly, I never clapped for the science students, because they're typical to be the highlight of academic events. The smartest student in school, of course had been chosen, along with a few others who are great academic examples with a great mentor; my maths teacher. Groups after groups, the same faces show, along with the teachers I know and respect. Until it was my turn (yes, I was chosen), I was paired with a Chinese teacher. So let me get this straight, you pair the good students with good teachers and the average students with teachers we don't even know? Why don't you just make it a science-stream exclusive program and stop making a mockery out of us?

What good is it when you fill a cup which is already full? No, it doesn't necessarily mean that science students need to be accompanied by science-stream faculty. Wouldn't that make their job easier? What about us art students? What of OUR fate? Left for dead?

The Vox Populi

Vox Populi means the voice of the people, if you are all wondering.

Wondering why I'm not active again, huh? Well a lot of things happened recently and I prefer not to talk about them, except for one. 9 Days of public speaking training went by like a flash I tell you. I can still remember all the criticism and verbal-whipping I had throughout it. Of course today, was the competition, what I refer to as... WAR. I'm sorry, can't help but to say it because the only song that could motivate me was from 30 Seconds To Mars. Of course, the night before I kinda freaked out. In truth, I didn't expect this to happen...at all.

So today was competition day, woke up in the morning and donned my uniform, clad in a blazer due to prefectorial board formality reasons. AS I make my way to school I whispered my speech to see if I could recite it perfectly. Seeing that problem taken care off, I had a little confidence in me. S we made our way to St. Mary's, yes, the same venue from last year's inter-zone competition.(We being Ms. Sheila the teacher adviser, Mr. Derek KOK AKA the mentor and Johnathan Goh AKA the successor ) And when we reached there I saw a rather familiar face...Trester Kaur, who I dubbed Derek's pseudo-girlfriend...don't ask. And of course we got our breakfast, well most of us, Johnathan didn't eat. And GOD I miss St. Mary's good food that has ridiculously puny portions. So after that we entered the conference hall.

Let me tell you most of them looked intimidating, the competition that is. But in the process of calming myself down, I succumbed to Derek's advice. "Go and have fun, psycho them." He says. So I started talking to Trester, which eventually lead me to talk to the friends she's met and extended to almost the whole of the contestants. So there was a total of 13 schools, namely St. Mary's, Convent Sentul, Chong Hwa, Kiamas, and of cousre, SMP with their dreaded teacher adviser. A boring competition turned out to be rather entertaining. Status report for the prepared speech is:

1st Speaker (St. Mary's) : had a rather interesting topic; Body Language, but the intonation is...yeah.

2nd Speaker (SMP) : Wow, such a contrast from last year... this one is just like a flat-line.

3rd Speaker (Convert Sentul): Very well presented, with no mic at that. Interesting topic but rather informative, still, love the delivery.

4th speaker (not sure from which school) : Had decent delivery until she forgot her speech.

5th speaker (also not sure where she's from) : Very dramatic delivery, but generic topic on teenage blues.

6th speaker AKA Me : Well, Derek said that I lacked confidence in this one, but was more composed. Stumbled on a word though...

7th speaker (not sure) : Started okay, but freaked out.

8th (Kiamas) : TRESTER! Product of unity. Very witty speech, had a slight Chinese slang to it. I find the term Chinjabi very catchy.

9th speaker (SMK Bandar Baru) : Dude, nice speech. Love the snapping fingers and kids dying part. Poverty redefined.

10th Speaker (SMK Las Salle) : Topic had potential, (TV Commercials) but kinda boring...

11th speaker (not sure) : Very funny speech man, but perhaps too funny. But it was rather entertaining. How to speak in public, huh?

12th speaker (not sure too) : Very generic topic, Global warming. Delivery was okay.

13th speaker (Chong Hwa) : The one who got my respect, a Form 1 entering such competition, Derek freaked when he was talking about money. Oh the irony. He also had a standing ovation from the speakers.

Through the course of the competition I had more confidence fueling me. When we were quarantined in the waiting room... the psychological warfare begins. It ended up with Me, Trester, Amirul, and that other guy having a blast dilly-dallying our time there. So we were the calm ones, we even had time to tell jokes, listen to music and just making random noises. While the rest just went tense. When I was called into the quarantine room, and saw the topic "Entertainment", Ms. Sheila's final random topic from yesterday's practice came to mind...."Music" of course I added a little spice here and there. When I came out, I completed the deal that we would reveal the topic, whoever went first. So as Trester went in, I told her the topic for a few seconds' advantage. And Silent-shouted at my 2 other partners-in-crime just before I gave my speech. So I hoped I helped.

I didn't know what happened to the first 5 speakers, I heard the 3rd speaker did good though. But the 7th speaker had a nervous breakdown and puked, she pulled out of the competition as well. I think the lines "The rhapsody waltzing through the ages." "..like the latest phenomenon; Lady Gaga. Bad Romance, anyone?" and "The emotions on the silver screen." saved my speech. Trester quoted Adam Lambert, I think it was because of me. The guy after her did a wonderful speech, it sounded very intelligent, he redefined entertainment by saying that it isn't just the glits and glam but also creativity, he pulled off Issac Newton as an example, very well done. After him, it went significantly down, yet still rather entertaining.

After the competition, everyone had a sense of relief. We were just wasting time and talking. Getting to know each other, and hey me and that guy who talked about poverty might start a band! Derek and Ms. Sheila told me that I didn't have to win, because I did my best, so that was an extra relief. The time went flying so fast we didn't even feel it. And in the end the judges arrived back and we were back in tense mode. We were nervous, but went into a state where we were guessing who the winners are. I guessed that 3rd would go to either me or Trester, 2nd to the guy who talked on poverty who I find very entertaining and 1st would go to the girl from Convent Sentul. The poverty guy told me that I would win 1st but I thought that was preposterous. The results came in.

3rd was.... SMK Kiamas, Trester. So far I thought my prediction was correct.

2nd wen to.... St. Mary's. This is the part where I started panicking if I'm going to disappoint my friends and Derek.

Now here's the part all of you might not expect. The moment the MC said "And the 1st place goes to..." I was half praying it was either me or the poverty guy, or the convent girl. Then the MC continued saying "Contestant number 6, Law Sie Weng from SMK Maxwell." Immediately I went "HOLY SHIT!" to the poverty guy and Trester. Looked at my 3 supporters at the back. Johnathan had a smirk on, Derek was doing epic fist-pumps and Ms Sheila was clapping ever so proudly. I was of course overjoyed but kind of felt that others deserved it. Then I packed up my bags and made my way out, teachers were congratulating me, of course I was thanking them as well. And of course, my favorite part, fangirls, EVERYWHERE. I shook hands with the other speakers and the girls and made my way home. It was truly a once in a life time experience. And a first time feeling like a winner.

On the way home we stopped at Selayang Mall and ate some Popeye's. That was a first too. Stomachs full, we went back home. Talking about the competition along the way. Hearts overjoyed.

I truly miss new-found friends. And how Trester is an expert in making love....letters. Too bad life goes on, eh? I wished I could re-live the moment.

The rest is silence.

The time of my life.

Most people tell me that I should spice up my life a little. And that's the reason why I wasn't so active in blogging these days past. So here's a few words to summarize it; "The time of my life". I realized that this year was my final year in high-school, and so I wanted to end it with the biggest bang I can ever achieve.

Now some of my friends might know that I used to dance, I quit the endeavor back in 2008. But recently, on the 17th of May 2010, Teacher's Day at my school, I finally took the stage and danced. Of course, the long hiatus from moving to the beat has left me but a shell of my former dancer self. But for the curious cats out there reading this blog, here's the video of me dancing:

I might not be the best dancer, but I danced to my heart's content. By the way, my dance only starts at 2:17, the girls went first, and I'm the guy in the black hoodie and khaki-colored long pants.

Now the real reason why I'm loving life right now is because I have finally found where my scarred heart can be mended and how I can do the same for that person. In other words, I have a girlfriend now. And this time I'm pretty sure it'll work out. You know what, my dear readers? Fate does find it's way to each person, you just have to be patient enough to wait. Despite only being together with her for about a week now, I already feel that I've been together with her for years. And it's safe to assume that we're going steady now. She totally rocks my world.

Other than games and exams, my life is still pretty much that of my norms, but just much more enjoyable.

P.S. Live life to the max.

And to you my dear, te amo per sempre, piu che altro.

Of Music and Love.

Okay, enough ranting...seriously...I'm bored of that. Now finally a real update.

My life's been great so far, I started learning the Piano 4 weeks ago and I love it. And my teacher's a very cool person to hang out with. Shoutout to you teacher, if you're reading this. My guitar on the other hand has turned to shit, I might consider going on a full 1 hour piano class instead of a 30 minutes of piano and 30 minutes of guitar since I find myself more into piano. Finally I realize, I do love music and can embrace it's power.

And I broke up with my girlfriend a few days back, which was a HUGE relief, finally I won't need to bear the burden of someone who can't appreciate me. Breaking up was hard, but the after-effects felt good.

School's okay, I'm coping well enough with studies. Going for tuition for Maths and Economics, might be going for History as well.

Also, since I'm single again, I can finally kill more Russians in Modern Warfare 2 again! Okay Ritchie, let's ace those Veteran missions.

I'm still obsessed with Paramore, aaaaaaaah~ Hayley~ <3

And finally, I can't stop randomly singing The Only Exception by Paramore for some reason...

I'll leave you with my newbie attempt of Playing I'll Face Myself from Persona 4 then.

And this very interesting graduation speech made by a university student (Thank you Nat for giving me this awesome video)

Till then, adios senior en seniorita

P.S. Average is the new Exceptional.

Quote of the day: "FAGATHON!!" -Jane's remark of my name.

Religion.

If you are a narrow-minded religious person, please, do close this browser now. Yes, you too Jane since you don't like my rants.
______________________________________________________________________

Religion, faith, God. I know all of these terms too damn well. personally I'd like to say, "Religion is for the broken, damned, and those who have given up." Personally, I have NOTHING against religion, in fact I think it's a great way to exercise your spiritual state of mind. But The world has made religion into a tool. Why? Read on and you will find out.

This is MY story:

2005, my family was on the brink of bankruptcy, my dad was slandered and prosecuted for stealing money which he didn't, he was pressed with legal charges, payed a total of RM18.000 to his "friend" which was an attorney who loves his money. Me and my mom were chased after loan sharks because one of my dad's old's employers went bankrupt but asked my dad to pay his debts.

My dad's car was taken away. My dad was jobless due to his overconfidence in the petroleum business and quit his old job. My family was forced to stay in First Business Inn in Jalan Ipoh. The odds were against us. But a friendly cyber cafe owner lead us to Menara Megah further down the stretch of Jalan Ipoh, in the 2 1/2 mile mark of it. We got a unit on the 11th floor, which I have stayed in since 2005 till present.

My dad applied as a sales promoter in Mediaplex, to pay off our rent and debts. Things were still bad, my dad's employer stopped paying his salary.... 4 months worth of it. I had to either walk or take the bus to the school or malls. I couldn't watch movies, buy video games or hang out with friends due to money problems. We had to either capitalize on my dad's remains of his salary to buy groceries, or just eat at the Mamak Stall on the floor below.

This kept on going till 2009. My dad was employed to a company that sold a formula that would strengthen one's calcium, thus eliminating some of the terminal illness. My dad's pay went from RM 2000 to RM 6000. We had a life slightly better than before, but after a few months, the arrogant share holder of the company fired him, saying he wasn't capable of working. Again we were on the brink of bankruptcy, this went on until just recently.

Where an Australian company; VitaLife hired him to be the financial manager for the Malaysian branch office, he quickly shot his position up to Vice President of VitaLife Malaysia, his salary is currently RM 8000. Now, throughout the course of the incident, my mother whom I loathe kept praying day after day. Before this when our financial state was decent, she didn't really devote herself.

And now of course, after she has what she wants, she finally gives herself up and become my father's personal slave since he can put food on the table and stopped going to church, and her prayers have gotten much shorter. I once had asked her "Do you only devote yourself to religion during troubled times." She kept quiet. Usually when I won a debate against my mom's foolishness, she would keep quiet, so I was right all along, religion is for the weak.

While I was trying to save up money so my parents wouldn't have to spend money on me ( I had almost RM700 but my mom found out and used it to pay our drinking water bill) she gave up and prayed to her God. I do not give up easily, never had, never will. But lo and behold, a fragile soul giving herself up to "God" when she needs something, there ARE more people like this. Does the world only turn to their God when they need something and forget Him after it?

People call this a "Calling from God" but I beg to differ, I call it "giving up on Life". I went through 3 years of humiliation in my Junior High days, but now, I'm a prefect who my friends can look up to. I didn't need religion for that. A true calling from God is when you realize that faith is the key for keeping a steady heart and realizing that God is not just an entity that helps you through troubled times... as far as I know.

I am what you can refer to as an Open-Minded Catholic, I do not truly devote myself to religion, but I will accept other views of faith and the more logical side of the world, yet I still believe in Heaven and Hell. I also love studying the legends of other religions be it Islam, Hindu or Buddhist. If you were to pray for something to your God and when he grants it, you boast more about your religion, it'll just make you look fatuous, claiming you LOVE your God. But in reality, you love the blessings He gives but not God himself. If this is the way then, I'd say that God prefers Atheists since they can solve their problems without his help. It's funny how when I say "I don't really believe in God" and a random Catholic/Christian would say "Oh no! How can you say that?! You are a sinful child!"

Being overly-religious also makes you a bane of your own existence. Dear readers if you were to believe in one side of the story, what about the rest? At this point, you would always be attached to your own fantasy world and will lose your grip on reality. Giving yourself up to religion is not the way. I'm not trying to turn your back from your belief it's just that you need a reality check, and see the world around you.

Broaden your views, it'll make your life a little more interesting. Here's a fun fact, did you know Shiva's son, Ganesha was made of the soap bubbles? Parvati scooped some up and molded it into a person to guard her as she bathes, But Ganesha did not let Shiva in, not knowing who he was. Enraged, Shiva beheaded Ganesha. Parvati told him that Ganesha was their son. So Shiva commanded his followers to bring animals to his kingdom, the first one to come in would replace Ganesha's head. The Elephant came in, therefore, he cut the elephant's head and put it onto Ganesha's neck. Thus, the visualization of Ganesha was a man with an elephant's head.

If you find this post offensive, please do tell me. This is just my side of the story.

I R MALAY FIRST

Hard evidence to support my previous post. I object to this whole statement, due to the amount of contradictions he's made throughout it.

Contradictions:

"I am a Malay first! But being Malay doesn't mean I'm not a Malaysian."

But also said

"How can you say you're not Malaysian first and a Malay second?"
- - - -
"Saya sebagai timbalan pengerusi BM takkan saya tak sokong.... ( I as the deputy president of Barisan National...why wouldn't I NOT support 1 Malaysia?)"

But he said

" I am a Malay first!"
- - - -
"Can he say he say he's not a Chinese first but a Malaysian second?"

But he said

"Other parties support middle Malaysia"
- - - -

"I AM A MALAY FIRST!"

But he said

"We at the main UMNO party support 1 Malaysia"

- - - -
I may have missed some, but these are the ones that I want to point out, he's covering up his racist acts.

Well, guess that's it for now. Ciao

The Vicious Body of Lies we call "Politics".

Yes, Jane, close this tab or go to another website since you don't like my rants.
______________________________________________________________________

Now usually a person of my degree of ignorance wouldn't care less about politics. But here I am, rambling like an old man of the country's flaws. And usually, I wouldn't care about the administration of this dying nation but ladies and gentlemen, when it comes to racial issues, you can be very positive that I WILL voice out.

A few minutes ago, I stumbled on a link posted on Facebook, from my mentor-like friend who graduated last year, Derek Kok. Yes, Mr. Kok the public speaking demi-god. He went AWOL on his blog updates but came back with some mind-blowing posts, 2 of which, had really made me one curious cat. One post specifically quoted on Malaysia's deputy prime minister; Muhyiddin Yassin, who's slip of tongue affected his public image said "I am a Malay first, but being Malay does not mean I am not a Malaysian." From this Derek had clearly assumed that he is contradicting the very campaign of the year that the nation has been running; 1 Malaysia.

As politicians, it's only natural that you have to keep a good public image and Mr. Muhyiddin has forgotten his place. But those 16 words that came out of his mouth had just given us the image "1 Malays first, 1 Malaysia later lah." And now this theory IS supported with a following post, addressing a NGO by the name of PERKASA. Although oblivious to the existence of this organization, it came to me as a generic action for the Malays to take.

I've wikipedia'd this NGO and found out, as Derek compared to... they are truly a mix of Adolf Hitler's tyrannical Nazi movement and the KKK ( Ku Klux Klan) Now for those of you who don't know what all of these terms are...

PERKASA is Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia. In other words, an non-government organization that seeks to rectify those who defy the Malays, they think that the other races that make up Malaysia, voicing out their views and opinions as rebels and need to be silenced.

The Ku Klux Klan is nothing more than the same thing as the PERKASA, only with an added pinch of violence. The KKK is the long-lived AND very famous group in America that defends the rights of the whites. Thus without reason, seek to punish those who are not of Caucasian decent and this resulted in controversies in the United States, the KKK to this day, still is an active group.

The Nazi, for those who are not clear, the Nazi are the iconic tyrant army of German origins, found by Adolf Hitler, they sought out to unite the whole world under the Nazi banner, with ruthless slaughtering and fearsome propaganda.

Now as you can see, the PERKASA are naught more but those with a superiority complex. This directly contradicts one of the moral values taught in Malaysian education. "Bebas Bersuara" is one of the values of Patriotism in Moral studies. It means Freely Voicing Out. But what we want to voice out is immediately intercepted then viewed and assumed as something of a negative intent yet we just want to let our voices be heard. This was also connected to the protests of the Catholic Church in Malaysia using the word Allah in their Holy Bible a few months back. Or how the Muslims went furious against the Swedish Embassy for "presumably" dissing the Islam religion. Which both are nothing but a misunderstanding yet the government just ignored these happenings. If you want a clear explanation of the Catholics VS. Muslim case, you can find me on MSN, or call me. or even meet me face to face.

This leads to me saying that 1 Malaysia is nothing but a lie, it was an attempted failure. With this much haughtiness within the government and those who claim they are right, we will never be on a mutual state of agreement.

What is the world coming to, ladies and gentlemen?

Don't you all make quick assumptions of me being a racist, because I am not, I'm merely stating the truth.

P.S. Derek's epic new blog is here: http://derekqiren.wordpress.com/

Of superiority complex and rights

I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog my dearly beloved readers, I'm afraid I was too busy with my girlfriend (case is solved), friends, games and school work. But this is something I have stuck in my head that I have to let out to the world.
______________________________________________________________________

As all of you know by now (especially if you're in SMK Maxwell) rumors of me rebelling against out "school principal" has been flying around and spreading ad godspeed. Readers, it's true, I did rebel against Datin Zainab Bee Binti Ismail and I openly admit that. Of course a myriad of insults have been thrown at me like "The traitor", the sarcastic term "My hero" or Afiq from class 5A teasing me with a "what are you gonna do? post on Facebook" thing. Well those who still have any vengeance on me, kindly proceed to my class and tell me straight to the face, it's the best way. But in truth, I don't really give a damn about what you have to say on my actions and behavior, I have my reasons.

First off, I just couldn't take the Datin's superiority complex anymore, they way she lowers teh prestige of her students but ending up saying that it's for our own good gives her the image to the students that she's a hypocrite and that day of the SPM briefing and subject selections, She said exactly this "No, I won't allow you to take any subject due to the fact that you're potentials are limited." How does she of all people know OUR potential, not to call her fatuous, but I think that's rather rude. Not only did my friends from 5A wasted hundreds and hundreds of money to get a proper private education to prepare them for the upcoming SPM, she doesn't care less of our well being. then let me ask you, what ever happened to "Maxwell's Vision" of being a quality school on 2011? Truly this fatuous irony is laughable.

And then, this is what I see in every adult, I even consulted to my parents, friends and even teachers after the incident, I asked them "What about us? Where's OUR student's rights?" they all gave the same answer, all from fear and cowardice, I swear they all said "What can we do? it's her will, she's the boss there, we can't do anything, what if she sues you for the Facebook group?" By that moment I pondered to myself "Surely they jest, what happened to rights?" My friend Cody Rosales from America even said "No Jon, school preps you to know that in this world, you don't have rights." I humbly beg to differ, everyone should be treated with equality in this day and age. And I tend to fight for my rights. Whatever happened to our forefathers who fought for civil rights in Malaysia? The great Tungku Abdul Rahman, or what ever happened the Negro movement in America? countless lives perished fighting for their freedom, Martin Luther King Jr. died while giving a speech just to claim the civil rights of his people, for those of you who are ignorant.

By now, I sound like a dictator, don't you agree? Well, I couldn't care less, this is what I have to say. And let me stress this out one more time, if the superiors want to shun and look down upon me, so be it, but know this, that these "adults" fear us, we the generation who will take over from where they left off, we hold the power to change the world, these hands can shake the very foundations of this world and "Your voice will never be heard"? then I'll MAKE them hear me and make them understand. The Datin wants to see me, that's what Mrs. Raja told me a few days ago and I'm still waiting for her to call me up, frankly, I can't wait to debate with her, I want her to know that we, the students of this institution deserve more than what we have. But luckily, teachers have already begun supporting me, Mr. Rozaini and Mrs. Noraini are already going around to the form 5 classes to jot down those who are taking extra subjects, so if they came to your class, you know who got 3 weeks suspension from the prefectorial board, tainted his good image and took all the blame for your participation in that group. I don't need your thanks and praise. This is already considered a state of euphoria for me, and plus, I'm used to be forgotten, so yeah it's all good.

Well, keep those insults coming, I warmly welcome all of them.

Cheers,

Your sore loser and underdog,
Jonathan Law.

Out of the frying pan and into the freezer.

Well, it's been nearly a week since my return from Indonesia. I didn't have time to blog because of my laziness, due to the amount of things I have to blog about.

Here goes. See the reason I didn't wanna go to Indonesia was because of where I live there, the food's bad, the girls are...mehh and there's only 3 friggin' malls, in 3 years....they only built 2 more....wow. Also my stay at the little town outside of Jakarta known as Depok isn't FUN, it's like a baby-sitting job that doesn't pay at since I have to take care of my 3 year-old twin nephews.

But, on a different note, the heart of the country, Jakarta is a different story, though the pollution is nothing less than displeasing, progress on the city has bettered itself, roads don't get stuck in traffic jams much, and the malls there have improved, so has the social well being of the citizens. Every single block you to, every single street has a mall, that's something rather new to me since Malaysia has less.

Not only that, the entertainment industry has greatly improved, Indonesian artists make much better local tunes than Malaysia has ever did, they create something original, not used. For instance, my latest band fetish Vierra, they make great songs, powerful music and lyrics. Or local movies are shot at a decent camera quality, I immediately fell in love with a movie called Laskar Pelangi which tells of the struggle of a group of elementary school kids, the plot is diverse and complete.

Speaking about love, I think I just fell for my cousin's bestie, unfortunately, she lives in Jakarta and the only way I can talk to her is via Facebook, but no matter, someone told me to be patient and so I will. When will I ever be able to meet you? *sigh*

Also on the other note, my extortion of cash from my aunts is a success, I finally got myself a Nintendo DS Lite. For those of you who know my hate for Nintendo would be shooting me right now for being a hypocrite, but some NDS games are too good to resist, so I had to get one.

Then there's the cinemas of Indonesia....walking to each one of them is like walking into a 5-star hotel, since it's plain "wow" they have arcades, comfortable seats, good food and great movies shown at a reasonable price of approximately 25,000Rp - 30,000Rp, which is about 8 ringgit to 10 ringgit.

My cousins are also the people I love and I will miss them for the next 11 months, since chances are I'll be going again in 2010, anyone who wants to come with me are always welcome. And no, Indonesia isn't just bout Bali, there are other great places to see, 37 states in all, and a large metropolis of a city to hang around with.

Well, as 2010 is just hours away, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, may you successfully achive your new year's resolution. Ciao.

The Fourth Kind- Oh...my...GOD!!!

Okay, Exams are FINALLY FUCKIN' OVER. And alas I am free of my year long school days. So to celebrate that, Me, Ritchie and Susanna decided to go catch a movie.....only to find out Peter is tagging along, but whatever, that's not the case. So we gathered at my place, Me, Ritchie and Susan took showers because it was hot...real hot outside. And after all the dilly-dally, we left for Mid Valley.

Once there we headed for the cinemas only to find out Ritchie's OH-SO AWESOME prophecy coming true....2012, the movie we all wanted to watch badly was sold out.... so we were left with 2 choices, Killin' Nazis fun in Inglorious Basterds, or the mindfucking thriller, The Fourth Kind. Susan decided on The Fourth Kind, I don't know why, but she did.

The one of a kind Documentary/Movie that will mindfuck you, and it's still mindfucking me... I'm imagining myself surrounded by Sumerian white owls that abducts people and making them forget the whole thing the next day. The movie supposedly uses Actual Footage of Dr. Abigail Tyler's research of the origin of creation. Her patients have been waking up for no reason during 3:33 A.M. for no apparent reason and find themselves being stared at by these....white owls...that gives me goosebumps...MAJOR goosebumps. Well, I can't spoil the rest, you just GOTTA watch it.... even though Peter and Susan said it was boring. It's an interesting movie, generally, but the actual footage appears to be fake, which rumored by many...is. How could someone get possessed by Aliens that speak Sumerian, levitate and starts threatening Dr. Abigail? Whoops...couldn't help myself, the image is burned into my head.- Oh shit...I think someone...or something is at the door... Damnit I think I became paranoid...

Ate some Carl's Jr. too...and I'm still full from that Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger... and those Criss-Cut Fries.

Unfortunately, this will likely be the last time that I will hang out with Susanna, since she has STPM coming and she's getting pressured by everyone. All the best to you Susanna, I'll miss ya. <3

P.S. They're Watching YOU.

OH SCREW. YOU.

Wow, I didn't know being president and having bimbos as the admins can really rape your mind eh? Oh, I'd supposed I should explain. I was elected as the President of the ELDS (English Language and Drama Society) and lemme tell you, it rocked, surprisingly. BUT, I thought too soon. 2 days ago, my ape-faced, negative-thinking teacher adviser told me to step down from my position. I thought "Bitch, what the fuck?". Lo and behold the very BANE of my Wednesday job fucked up....again....BIG. TIME. Can we have a round of applause for Kreesan? Oh yes Kreesan, I'm STILL royally frickin' pissed at you even though you borrowed me that book.

"WHY?" you say? Well let's see, you took 90% of my job at first, gave me assurance taht you'd do it and you actually stopped doing it for the past 2 months. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOIN' NIGGER?! Ape-face told me that the ELDS has been on hiatus. And NOW she's saying I fucked the shit up just by not holding the debate, members of ELDS, you wanna 'huzza' to that? I went and become the most flexible president there is and you guys went all lazy on me. Great.....just fuckin' great.

Now, here's the story, 2 auditions were supposed to be held, one for Public Speaking, the other for next year's Debate Team. 2 of which that I've been bitching the ELDS about till august, when Kreesan told me to stop meetings because ape-faced told him to tell me. So I okay'd it and minded my own business till these few days. Suddenly I have to go apologize to ape-face for not reporting in?! Kreesan I thought you got me covered, which you voluntarily wanted to do.

So I went to apologize along with Mogan, the vice-president. Which turned into an argument because ape-face doesn't like the way I talk. Hey, I was talking as politely and as calmly as possible, okay? She says that I didn't do my job because I didn't inform her anything and that I didn't hold the auditions. Oh great, who told ME to stop meetings? And she said that a messenger like Kreesan is useless, she wants live RSS feeds from me, the big cheese.

I TRIED to explain to her why did this happened and how it was a misunderstanding, being the air-headed, ape-faced and negative-minded asshole of all trades she is, she denied ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I said and the explanation went on for longer than I expected. Till I decided to stop since the ape-face doesn't want to. In the midst of the confusing argument I tried to make a sugegstion to hold the audition last minute, because (not to brag) but I KNOW I can pull it off, I myself hand-picked the team members based on their strengths and weaknesses. Yet she still doesn't want to listen. But when MOGAN told her the exact same shit, she listened. WOW. Just WOW. After she nodded to the crap, she told me to leave and thanked Mogan for ultimately saving the day. Oh wow, I was pissed alright.

Immediately, I barged off the office and slammed my right forearm to a nearby beam. And yes, my elbow still hurts as I type. Mogan told me to chill, which I obviously am NOT gonna be ever, and pushed him away. Let out a big "FUCK!" while throwing my arms to the side and went back to class to chill myself out.

With that, I'm gonna say, Screw ELDS, I'm quitting of my own free will, Derek, I'm sorry if I let you down. Mogan you take over and go ride Sheila. Kreesan you can go suck Mogan's cock and the rest shall masturbate to the sight of it. And I'm totally serious, I AM quitting as the president of ELDS, little gossip-mouths DO sprerad the word around. Adios, I'm out.

Blisters, aches, thanksgiving and a movie.

Now, you might be wondering, why am I blogging this late at night. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I had a heck of a day today since I suck at planning.

So I was dragged to ice-skating, which lasted approx. 2 hours, with Yen Yi and her brother, since I had no one to talk to, I called Ritchie to come and save me, that nooblet's a savior I tell ya. He didn't know how to skate so I had to teach him, but I fell more times then him. So I just unintentionally pushed him down to the melted ice which resulted my left side to be completely wet and his back all watery. Also, since we were both wearing short socks, we've got blisters on the back of our feet now, we also have body aches, especially our feet.....damn those skates..... that's all for damage report.

Then (which was 3PM by then) We (Me, Ritche and my parents) went to Mid Valley, my parents had their luch while me and him go do some games n' book hunting, so yeah, I found the games I wanted and we bought 2 books, I got myself Maximum Ride: Max's primary Brithish print (FINALLY IT'S HERE!!), and we shared money to get the mini (and cheaper) edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed novel.

The novels:

And after all that shabang was over, it's 5PM, Ritchie came over to play Resident Evil 5 as usual, though this time I didn't join the fight since I was tired and slept. I don't wanna hinder him 'cuz my accuracy will drastically decreased if my stamina's low. So he woke me up at 6:30PM, which was when we're supposed to go fro some Thanksgiving Dinner Roland's Christian community is hosting.

So we went there just in time for dinner (Ritchie invited his friend; Susanna, and she invited 2 of her friends), and ate some awesome food and let the whole thing start. Now.... the whole thing....was in Cantonese... I. DON'T. UNDERSTAND. CANTONESE. So Ritchie suggested that we should apologize to Ronald and get the heck out to catch a movie at the Jusco opposite the building we were in. So Susanna's friends left for home, and there was 3, I got a little more well-acquainted with the girl, I only know how she looks, she's from Maxwell as well, she's from Upper Form 6, but I didn't expect her to be a cool person.

Desperate, we bought tickets to the only show we were interested, which was Gamer. The show was at 10PM, so we just waited till showtime comes at the meantime we were having conversation after conversation. So time passed, had our laughs and fun and right before you know it, the movie starts.

what can I say? it's just....an epic movie. It stars Gerald Butler, if you don't know him, he played as King Leonidas in 300 (the guy who yelled THIS. IS. SPARTA!!).It's one of those movies which makes you ponder to yourself. This one (especially if you play A LOT of online games) will make you think.....what if your character in-game, was living in an alternate universe, having his/her own family, what if everything you kill in it has a life of it's own, has emotions. There is certainly nothing virtual about the reality in the movie. It's about this power-hungry game designer, he makes games that involve real humans. He replaces their brain cells with some nano-machines that allow other players to control them through their computers, only to find out this was all just a part of the bigger picture.

After the movie, we accompanied Susanna back home, since she was uhhh... "scared". And me and Ritchie made our way home. What can I say? it was one heck of a day. Well, you've been filled in.
